Test Bench Software Engineer (m/f/d)

Your Tasks

You will be responsible for the development, documentation, and implementation of our test bench software in accordance with functional requirements, with a particular focus on HIL components and system integration testing.
In addition, you will contribute to the further development of test environments and test benches in close collaboration with test bench suppliers and external service providers.
Working closely with the software and electronics development teams, you will integrate test samples and commission test setups.
Your role will also include the development and construction of test hardware as well as its integration into our CI pipeline.
Furthermore, you will conduct tests and ensure comprehensive documentation of all testing activities.
Another important aspect of the position is the evaluation of test data and the preparation of detailed test reports.
You will also be responsible for identifying, reporting, and analyzing complex issues or unexpected system behavior.
Finally, you will support the continuous improvement of software process quality.

Your Profile

You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, control engineering, cybernetics, or a related field.
In addition, you bring at least two years of professional experience in the development of control and automation software, ideally for test bench environments and in connection with HIL applications or embedded software.
You possess strong expertise in Python and a solid understanding of software lifecycles and testing methodologies.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and associated tools is also required, and you enjoy working in a Linux environment.
Furthermore, you are proficient in CAN, BLE, C/C++, Bash, embedded systems, Docker, and Git.
Finally, you have fluent English language skills, both written and spoken.

Deine Aufgaben

Verantwortlichkeit für die Entwicklung, Dokumentation und Implementierung unserer Prüfstandssoftware entsprechend den funktionalen Anforderungen (Schwerpunkt: HIL-Komponenten und Systemintegrationstests)
Weiterentwicklung der Testumgebungen und Prüfstände in Zusammenarbeit mit Prüfstandslieferanten und Dienstleistern
Integration von Prüflingen und Inbetriebnahme von Prüfaufbauten in enger Zusammenarbeit mit der Software- und Elektronikentwicklung
Entwicklung und Bau von Testhardware und Integration in unsere CI-Pipeline
Versuchsdurchführung und Dokumentation
Datenauswertung und Testreporting
Meldung und Analyse komplexer Probleme oder Fehlverhalten
Unterstützung in der kontinuierlichen Verbesserung der Software Prozessqualität

Dein Profil

Abgeschlossenes Bachelor- bzw. Masterstudium im Bereich Informatik, Elektrotechnik, Regelungstechnik, Kybernetik oder vergleichbaren Studiengängen
Mindestens zwei Jahre Berufserfahrung im Bereich Regelungs- und Steuerungssoftware Entwicklung, idealerweise für Prüfstandsumgebungen und im Zusammenhang mit HiL-Anwendungen/Embedded Software
Sehr gute Kenntnisse in Python
Gutes Verständnis von Software Lifecycles und Testing Methodiken
Kenntnissemit CI/CD Pipelines und Tools
Du arbeitest gerne in Linux
Erfahren im Umgang mit: CAN, BLE, C/C++, Bash, Embedded Systems, Docker,git
Du sprichst fließend Englisch
